DO YOU TRAVEL?
Absolutely! We have traveled for the majority of our weddings since we started photographing weddings. We have travelled coast to coast and there is basically nowhere we won’t travel to. Travel fees (transportation and lodging) are calculated per location.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT "SMILE AT THE CAMERA" PHOTOS?
Most, if not all, of the photos you get of yourself throughout your life will be selfie style or “Hey, can you take a photo of us with our phone?” style. These aren’t bad photos, but they don’t accurately reflect your personalities or the experience you are having. So short answer, we are not big fans of this type of photo for your wedding day. Instead, we photograph with primarily a documentary style to capture the mood and flow of the day. We do, however, provide some general guidance during certain portions of the day like bridal party, family photos, and, our favorite, bride & groom photos.
DO YOU NEED A SHOT LIST?
We do ask that you provide a family photos shot list so we make sure no one is forgotten; beyond that, we do not work off of a list. It is restricting to our creativity, inorganic, and very distracting.
DO YOU OFFER THE DIGITAL FILES?
Of course! This is the digital age. You will receive a link to your gallery online where you can download your images. Plus, you have the option to purchase high quality prints directly through the link.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL YOU DELIVER?
Because we don’t operate off of a shot list we don’t have set number of photographs we deliver. Generally speaking, though, we typically deliver 300-400 images depending on bridal party size, family shot list length, and time and locations allotted for bride & groom portion.
OF THE IMAGES DELIVERED, WHAT PERCENTAGE ARE BLACK & WHITE?
Typically about 70-80% of the images in our wedding galleries are delivered in color, while the others are delivered in B&W. We take our B&Ws very seriously. We usually apply a B&W treatment to images that are stronger or more interesting in B&W (artistically speaking) or in response to a challenging circumstances (ie: unflattering or dark lighting).
HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING DO I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
You will receive your images no later than 10-12 weeks after your wedding day. Rush processing is available for an additional cost.
HOW DO I GO ABOUT COMMISSIONING YOU?
In order to book with us we require a non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the total cost and a signed contract to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the big day.
CAN I POST MY IMAGES TO SOCIAL MEDIA SITES AND/OR BLOGS?
Absolutely! We always ask that you always give credit where credit is due. Give a shout out to our company when sharing your images on your social sites. And please never sell the images or attempt to alter the images in any way.
